Summary of This Radio Controlled Propeller Driven Platform
My second F4U EPO plane of this exact model. I really wanted to customize an F4U the way I saw it, but boy oh boy did this plane surprise me! I completely underestimated how challenging it is to put fine-line tape on EPO without lifing up base coats. This project helped me combine some prep and paint steps to go faster on future projects. Time… is not forever. I can only put so much of it into a little fun, and this was an excellent project to test a methods on something I really can’t wait to fly! Win-win for RCRobbie on this one.

I really do love Corsairs – just so much fun to watch fly around up there! They can be very graceful when you want them to be, and aggressive when you’re in the mood. I suggest you fly planes you love, even if they’re a bit difficult, you’ll be more enthusiastic about dragging your stuff out to use it. No sense wasting money on things you don’t use or get some value from. Try to find a good warbird for the propeller jazz, and a nice jet for the EDF speed. Takeoffs and landings are COMPLETELY different (jets are easier IMO).
