Quite possibly the toughest most durable RC car ever built. Upgrades well, and plenty of options for performance upgrades. As another sports car build it required adjustable mounts. This Delta Plastik USA gem is well-shaped to resemble a sick looking Ford Mustang Cobra! One of my friends said, “I hate those chrome dome cars; when people just make them all aluminum…”  I thought to myself well that sounds like a fun challenge!  Can I possibly use nothing but anodized aluminum for a “regular” car, unlike something funky like a VW Bug?  I figured this was my best try at it – a little 70’s race flavor in my mind.  We call him Metallic Stallion, but he’s a Chrome Dome to the end ;D

No matter how clean you think your body is right before you paint it… IT’S NOT CLEAN ENOUGH!  Don’t forget the last few chances to wipe down the unpainted shell after you masked your lines, and before you start painting!  Most colors are fairly unforgiving, but metallic and anodized tones seem to be less forgiving.  Don’t mess up hours of work, without taking a small moment to wipe down your shell with a lint-catching microfiber. The glue from your fingers, can even leave a perfect full visible finger print behind lol – I’ve done it!  Best of luck with your next paint session!
